Build a Cool Shop with Decoration Galleries
Build a Cool Shop with Decoration Galleries
Have you ever wanted to build your own store in Fortnite? Maybe a futuristic tech shop or a cozy farm stand? You can do that easily! You do not need to draw every brick. You can use Decoration Galleries. These are pre-made groups of items. They help you build fast. Let’s make a mini-shop together.
What You'll Learn
- What a Gallery is in Fortnite Creative.
- How to find the Galleries tab in the menu.
- How to place items to make a scene.
- How to use Prefabs for bigger pieces.
How It Works
Imagine you are building with LEGO. You have individual bricks. But you also have pre-made sets. A set might be a whole car or a house. In Fortnite, these sets are called Galleries.
A Gallery is a collection of items. They share the same style. For example, a "Farm Gallery" has barns, fences, and pumpkins. They all look like they belong together.
You find Galleries in the Galleries tab. This tab is in your device menu. It is next to the "Devices" tab. You can search by theme. You might see "Retail" for shops. You might see "Futuristic" for sci-fi bases.
There are also Prefabs. A Prefab is a pre-made 3D object. Think of it like a toy car. You pick it up and place it. It is one piece. Galleries often contain many small pieces. Prefabs are bigger chunks. You can mix them!
Let’s build a small shop. We will use a Retail Gallery. It has counters and shelves.
Let's Build It
Here is how you build your shop step-by-step.
Step 1: Open Your Island
Start a new Creative island. Pick any map.
Step 2: Find the Galleries
Press the button to open your device menu. Look for the Galleries tab. Click it.
Step 3: Choose a Theme
You will see many pictures. Look for "Retail" or "Shop." Click on it. You will see items like counters, signs, and shelves.
Step 4: Place Your Counter
Click on a counter item. Hold the trigger to place it. Put it in the center of your spawn area. This is your shop counter.
Step 5: Add Shelves
Go back to the Gallery. Pick a shelf. Place it behind the counter. This is where you put "items" to sell.
Step 6: Add a Sign
Pick a sign item. Place it above the counter. You can type words on it later!
Step 7: Make It Real
Now, add a Prop Mover. Place it behind the counter. Set it to "Open." This makes the back wall slide away. It looks like a secret entrance!
Your shop is ready. Players can walk in. They see your cool counter and shelves. You built it in minutes.
Try It Yourself
Can you make a farm stand? Use the "Farm" Gallery. Find a wooden stall. Place it outside. Add some pumpkins or corn from the same gallery. Can you add a Timer to make the stall open at noon?
Hint: Look for the "Farm" category in the Galleries tab. Search for "stall" or "cart."
Recap
Galleries are groups of matching items. They help you build fast. Find them in the Galleries tab. Mix them with Prefabs for bigger pieces. Have fun building!
