The official Verse Language Book, dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0. We credit it as Source: Verse Language Book (CC0).

Self-contained Verse examples from public GitHub repositories that carry a permissive license — MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, ISC, CC0, or the Unlicense. We verify each repository's license before archiving and never include unlicensed or copyleft (GPL / AGPL / LGPL / MPL) code. Each example is attributed to its original author and repository, shown under that repository's own license, pinned to the commit it was taken from, and links back to the source file. It is compile-checked before it appears here.

We credit it as By <author> · <repo> · <LICENSE> with a link to the original. Rights remain with the original author under the linked license.

YouTube tutorial videos & video companions

Video-companion guides pair our own original written explainer with a creator's YouTube tutorial. The video is embedded through YouTube's own player and is never re-hosted; the creator is credited on every page with a link to the original video and channel, and a subscribe prompt — the whole point is to send viewers to the creator. A companion page may share a handful of screenshots and, when possible, compile-verified Verse based on the video (or our own interpretation of it) — always credited, a free community benefit built to send viewers to the creator — the kind of limited, credited, educational sharing U.S. copyright law calls fair use. All rights in the video remain with the creator.

Creator of a featured video? You can have its companion changed or removed at any time — use the opt-out link on the page or email [email protected].

Our own original lessons, guides, and generated articles — © Biloxi Studios Inc. (Verse Island is a Biloxi Studios project). Grounded in the knowledge base and validated against it; these cite the Epic and community sources they draw on.

Community contributions

Content submitted by Verse Island members and the BrainDeadGuild community. You keep ownership of what you submit and are always credited as the author.

By submitting, you grant Biloxi Studios Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, publish, distribute, publicly display and perform, create derivative works from, use to train and improve AI/ML models and features, and otherwise use and commercialise your contribution and works derived from it, in any media now known or later developed. You confirm the contribution is yours to share and does not infringe anyone else's rights. Contributors are recognised through author credit and the platform's credit / rewards system.

We keep data collection minimal, run no advertising or third-party analytics, and never sell your data. Full details — what we store, cookies, your access/delete rights, and any social/TikTok publishing — are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Copyright & takedowns

Creators — the fast lane. If your video, code, or other work is featured on Verse Island and you want it changed or removed, you don't need a formal legal notice: use the opt-out link on the page itself (every video-companion page has one in the creator attribution box) or email [email protected] with the page link. We remove or change the material promptly — no questions, no process.

Formal DMCA notices (17 U.S.C. § 512) go to our copyright agent: Copyright Agent, Biloxi Studios Inc. — [email protected]. An effective notice includes: (1) the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (2) the exact verseisland.com URL(s) of the material; (3) your name and email; (4) a good-faith-belief statement that the use is unauthorized; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are, or act for, the rights holder; (6) your physical or electronic signature.

What we do: we acknowledge your request with a reference ID, verify the evidence that you are (or act for) the rights holder, and act on it — where a complete notice clearly checks out, access to the material is disabled expeditiously, pending human review. Every request, decision, and action is logged. If removed material was submitted by a member, we notify them and they may send a counter-notice (identification of the removed material; a penalty-of-perjury statement that removal was a mistake or misidentification; name, address, phone, consent to federal-court jurisdiction and acceptance of service; a signature). We forward valid counter-notices to the complainant and may restore the material as the DMCA provides unless they notify us they've filed a court action within 10 business days.

Please don't file false claims — knowingly material misrepresentations carry liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), and our review checks for impersonation.
