Sources & Licensing
How we attribute content
Verse Island brings together several kinds of content to help you build in UEFN and Verse. Each kind keeps its own attribution and license. Every page shows the original source and a link back to it; this page explains the model in full.
Epic Games documentation
Official developer documentation from dev.epicgames.com. Each page is attributed to Epic Games and links to the original. We present it here as a searchable reference; all rights remain with Epic Games.
Governed by Epic's Terms of Service ↗.
Epic Games community snippets
Code snippets and tutorials shared by members of the Epic Games community. Each snippet is attributed to its original author (parsed from the creator's own credit line) with links to their GitHub / X profile, and links to the original community page. Rights remain with the original author.
Governed by Epic's community content terms ↗.
Verse Language Book
CC0-1.0The official Verse Language Book, dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0. We credit it as Source: Verse Language Book (CC0).
Permissively-licensed GitHub code
Self-contained Verse examples from public GitHub repositories that carry a permissive license — MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, ISC, CC0, or the Unlicense. We verify each repository's license before archiving and never include unlicensed or copyleft (GPL / AGPL / LGPL / MPL) code. Each example is attributed to its original author and repository, shown under that repository's own license, pinned to the commit it was taken from, and links back to the source file. It is compile-checked before it appears here.
We credit it as By <author> · <repo> · <LICENSE> with a link to the original. Rights remain with the original author under the linked license.
Verse Island lessons & guides
Our own original lessons, guides, and generated articles — © Biloxi Studios Inc. (Verse Island is a Biloxi Studios project). Grounded in the knowledge base and validated against it; these cite the Epic and community sources they draw on.
Community contributions
Content submitted by Verse Island members and the BrainDeadGuild community. You keep ownership of what you submit and are always credited as the author.
By submitting, you grant Biloxi Studios Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, publish, distribute, publicly display and perform, create derivative works from, use to train and improve AI/ML models and features, and otherwise use and commercialise your contribution and works derived from it, in any media now known or later developed. You confirm the contribution is yours to share and does not infringe anyone else's rights. Contributors are recognised through author credit and the platform's credit / rewards system.
Privacy & cookies
We keep data collection minimal. When you sign in with Discord we store your Discord account ID, username, server roles, and (if you share it) email — used only to run your account, apply your access tier, and attribute your contributions. We do not sell your personal data. Authentication is provided by Discord, acting as our processor.
Cookies: we use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, plus Cloudflare's security cookies. We run no advertising or third-party analytics tracking — so there is no cookie-consent banner to click through.
Your rights: you may request access to, or deletion of, your account and the personal data we hold at any time — email [email protected]. Deleting your account removes your personal data; contributions you chose to publish may be retained under the licence above, attributed or anonymised at your request.
