Sweet Power-Ups: Ice Cream Items in Fortnite Creative

Do you like ice cream? Do you like winning? Why not have both?

In this tutorial, we will make a mini-game. Your friends will run around. They will eat ice cream. The ice cream will make them fast. It will also heal them. You will build a "Sweet Speed Run."

You do not need to write code for this. You just need to know where to find the items.

How It Works

Imagine you are playing a game of tag. You are tired. You are slow. Then, you find a magic potion. Suddenly, you are fast again!

Ice Cream items are like those magic potions. They are Consumables. This means a player picks them up. The player eats them. The item goes away. But the player gets a bonus.

There are five types of ice cream. They all heal health. But they give different powers.

• Ice Cream Cone: Heals a little bit. It is safe and simple.
• Spicy Ice Cream Cone: Heals health. It also makes you run faster for a short time.
• Frozen Ice Cream Cone: Heals health. It makes you slide on the ground like ice.
• Guzzling Ice Cream Cone: Heals health fast. It makes you run faster.
• Lil’ Whip’s Special Serve: Heals health. It makes you jump higher.

Think of these items like power-ups in a racing game. You grab them to get ahead.

Let's Build It

We will build a simple path. We will put ice cream on it. Players will race to the end.

First, open your island. Click the Tab key. This opens your inventory. Click the CREATIVE tab at the top.

Now, look for the CONSUMABLES tab. Click it. You will see the ice cream icons.

Drag your favorite ice cream into the world. Place it on the ground. Make a trail of them.

Here is a simple setup idea:

1. Place a start line.
2. Place one Spicy Ice Cream Cone every ten steps.
3. Place a finish line.

When a player runs the race, they eat the ice cream. They get faster. They reach the finish line sooner.

You can also place them in chests. This makes them harder to find. Players must search for them.

Try It Yourself

Now it is your turn to create!

Challenge: Build a "Healing Station."

1. Place a wall in the middle of your island.
2. Put a Frozen Ice Cream Cone on top of the wall.
3. Put a Lil’ Whip’s Special Serve on the ground next to it.
4. Invite a friend. Ask them to jump and grab the items.

Hint: Try to see which item helps them jump over the wall better. Does the height help more than the speed?
