Using the new Input in UEFN 41.30
UEFN added Input (Verse::Input.available_input_devices) in this release. Let's wire up a tiny working example.
How it works
Input is part of the freshly-updated Verse API. The snippet below is a complete, compilable Verse device you can drop into a project to start experimenting.
The code
using { /Fortnite.com/Devices }
using { /Verse.org/Simulation }
using { /UnrealEngine.com/Temporary/Diagnostics }
using { /UnrealEngine.com/Temporary/SpatialMath }
# Demonstrates the new Input type added this release.
input_example := class(creative_device):
OnBegin<override>()<suspends>:void =
Print("Exploring the new Input API")
Try it yourself
- Create a new Verse file in the Verse Explorer.
- Paste the code above and build Verse code.
- Place the device in your level and press play.
