Build a Rocket Racing Minefield!
Build a Rocket Racing Minefield!
Do you want to make your friends crash their cars in Fortnite? We can build a minefield! You will place invisible traps. These traps stop players. They reset the player back to the start. It is like a video game lava pit. But it is invisible. Let’s make it together.
What You'll Learn
- What an RR Elimination Volume is.
- How to place it in your track.
- How it resets players when they crash.
- How to make your race harder!
How It Works
Imagine you are building a Lego castle. You add a moat. The moat is full of water. If a Lego knight falls in, he cannot walk. He has to start over. The RR Elimination Volume is like that moat.
It is a special box in the air. You cannot see it. But it is there. When a car drives into it, the car crashes. The game resets the car. It sends the car back to the track. This makes the race harder. Players must drive carefully. They must avoid the invisible box.
This device only works in Rocket Racing islands. It is not for building maps. It is for racing cars. It is a special tool for racers.
Let's Build It
We will place an RR Elimination Volume. We will put it on the side of the track. It will catch players who drive too far. Here is the step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Open the Device Menu
Open your Rocket Racing island in UEFN. Look for the Devices tab. It is on the left side. Click on it.
Step 2: Find the Device
Search for RR Elimination Volume. It is in the Rocket Racing section. Click on it. It looks like a box.
Step 3: Place the Volume
Click on your track. Place the device on the ground. It will appear as a wireframe box. This is the trap zone.
Step 4: Adjust the Size
Drag the corners of the box. Make it long. Make it wide. It should cover the edge of the track. If you want a big trap, make the box big. If you want a small trap, make it small.
Step 5: Test It
Play your island. Drive a car. Drive into the box. Watch what happens! The car will explode. It will reset. You did it!
Here is a simple diagram of how it works.
// This is not code. It is a map!

The box is the trap. The player drives into it. The game resets the player. It is simple and fun.
Try It Yourself
Can you make a double trap? Try placing two RR Elimination Volumes. Place one on the left. Place one on the right. See if players get stuck in the middle. Can you make a narrow path? Try making the boxes very small. It will be very hard to drive!
Recap
You built an invisible minefield. You used the RR Elimination Volume. It catches cars. It resets players. It makes the race fun. You are a race track master now!
