Building Your First Island

Ready to create your own Fortnite island?

Creating a new island consists of three major steps:

• Selecting a starter island
• Creating an environment with props and gallery assets
• Placing and customizing devices to create your gameplay

Let the fun begin!

Access the Console

1. From the Discover lobby, select Creative and click Play. This will take you to the Creative hub.

2. Approach the console next to your golden rift.

   

3. Select Use Console to open the Game Creation screen.

Select Your Island Type

To create a new island:

1. From the Game Creation screen, select + Create New.
2. From the Select Type dialog, select an island from the Starter Islands tab.
